Ok, I admit it. A lot of my classroom ideas seem to always start the same way, "I wish my teacher would have . . . . ."The latest idea is having a tent in the classroom.
So, Thursday night I decided to move some furniture around, and set up a Reading Tent that descends from the ceiling of our classroom when it's reading time. This is a shameless tactic to encourage your Third Grader to read independently without visiting with neighbors (which all healthy kids love to do, especially in May).
Needless to say, it was a BIG hit yesterday!
