| In Room 12 we believe in authentic writing experiences. One type of writing that your 3rd Grader will have to do at some point is fill out a job application. So this week they have been applying for classroom jobs. These our jobs that they have been doing all year on a weekly rotation. They have to persuade the hiring manger that they are the best person to do that job for the rest of the year. |

| After filling out their job application they put the information into a letter of interest. Your 3rd Grader then had to find three people to write them letters of reference and trying to convince me that their friend would do a great job. |
