Right Brain Intiative Artists in Residence

We have been getting our hands dirty working with our Artist in Residence, Ms. Alice- to get our animal sculptures ready for glazing this next week!.

| We first had to sketch our animals out on paper, outline them in marker, then press them onto our clay slabs - so that our image would transfer. |

| We then had to score them out from the clay slabs. |

Our Kids Are Really Teed Off!
Our kids are smiling because after a long day of sitting in a stuffy classroom they are getting to get outside to unwind on the golf course! The First Tee in partnership with our SUN after school program is yet another opportunity offered at our James John School.

Speech! Speech!
Today we continued practicing for our speeches that we are going to give Friday on our Vanport Unit. Just like last year, we are hoping to video tape them and put them up on the blog. Here are a few of the kids that practiced being "on stage" this morning.
